Job summary

Creative Solutions Services, LLC is seeking an experienced RN for ICU night shifts in Grafton, Wisconsin. 12-hour nights, 3 days a week, 13-week contract with 1900–0730 shifts and a 1:2 patient ratio based on acuity. Applicants must have 3+ years ICU experience, BLS/ACLS, and be eligible for an RN license in Wisconsin.

Epic EMR familiarity preferred. This assignment requires flexibility to float within scope and includes weekend rotation every other week with travel-friendly stipends for

Responsibilities

• Provide 12-hour night shift care for ICU patients.
• Monitor vents, lines, drains, and patient status.
• Collaborate with ICU team including physicians and pharmacists.
• Perform patient care tasks and ensure safety and comfort.

Night Shift 12 hours/day 3 days/week

Title: RN ICU

Clinical Interviewing- Yes, with manager review

On Call, Call Back Requirements: None

Weekend Rotation: Every other weekend

Holiday Requirements: Every other Holiday

Floating Requirements: If our census dips, typically rare

About Facility:

• Level II NICU
• Primary Stroke Center
• Beds: 136

Unit Information:

• Beds: 17

Minimum Years of Experience required: 3 years ICU experience

Will you accept a first-time traveler: Yes

• Surgical: general, open abdominal, ortho (total joints), ENT, OBGYN
• Cardiac/Vascular: fempops, CABG, EVAR, valves, post cath (radial and femoral approach), AAA, amputations
• No complex neuro

Patient Ratios: 1:2, based on acuity

Required License, National Certification, Certs: BLS, ACLS; NIHSS preferred

Skills required:

• Vent/trach management, invasive line management (art lines, CVP, Swanz), drains, chest tubes, foley management, post-surgical recovery, post-cath experience, CVVH, CRRT
• Preferred: cardiovascular and CV surgery experience, IABPs, Impellas

Support within the Department:

• Charge nurse with occasional patient assignment
• Phlebotomy for peripheral IV draws
• RT 24/7
• Hospitalist 24/7
• Intensivist 24/7
• ICU specific pharmacist for days

Technology/Equipment:

• EMR: EPIC - preferred
• IV Pump: Alaris
• Med dispensing: Pyxis
• Monitors:
• Unit specific equipment: NxStage CRRT

Floating: If yes, where:

• Could float within scope of practice and below, including to intermediate units (1:3), MSU, ED Boarding (1:4), Observation units (1:4)
• Travelers first to float

Orientation (facility and unit) :

• 1 Day of orientation:
  • 0800 meet with educator (badge access, CBLs, login access, etc.)
• Meet and Greet with Nurse Manager
• Remainder of the shift with a preceptor

Scheduling:

• Weekend rotation: every other
• Approval of RTO: to go through manager
• Schedule cycle: made in 4-week increments

• More than 2 sick calls will prompt discussion with traveler and evaluation of contract and possible contract termination
