Job summary

Starr Regional Medical Center in Athens, TN is seeking an ICU Registered Nurse (RN) for full-time night shifts (7:00 pm–7:00 am) with rotating weekends. A $15,000 sign-on bonus is available for qualified applicants.

The role involves direct ICU patient care across diverse age populations, with a focus on critical nursing assessment and coordination of care. We require at least one year of direct ICU nursing experience in a high-acuity setting and an Associate's degree (BSN preferred).

Qualifications

• One year of direct ICU nursing experience in a high-acuity setting is required.
• Critical thinking, decisive judgment, and ability to work with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Performs initial and ongoing assessments of patient condition.
• Establishes a care plan aligned with identified problems and patient goals.
• Supervises and mentors nursing and support staff during assigned shift.
• Assists in determining staffing levels based on census and patient acuity.
• Provides direct patient care as needed and coordinates transfers and admissions/discharges.
• Ensures critical equipment and supplies are available for safe patient care.
