Job summary

Medical City Las Colinas is seeking a Registered Nurse for the night shift on a seasonal assignment in Plano, Texas, from September 20, 2026 to April 3, 2027. The role focuses on delivering high-quality, patient-centered care in collaboration with a multidisciplinary care team.

The RN will document care, educate patients and families, and participate in ongoing quality improvement efforts. Must have ACLS/BLS within 30 days, RN licensure, an Associate Degree, and 1+ year ICU experience.

Qualifications

• ACLS and BLS certifications must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
• RN – Registered Nurse licensure.
• 1+ year ICU experience required.

Responsibilities

• Performs procedures, monitoring, or other functions as ordered by the medical provider(s). Documents the administration of care in the patient medical record in a timely and thorough manner.
• Teaches patients/families/caregivers about patient medical condition, status, treatment plan, medications and possible side effects, and follow-up measures; translates complex medical terminology for understanding.
• Explains non-medicinal follow-up measures such as healthy diet and exercise, disease prevention, and lifestyle changes; prepares patients and families for future self-management.
• Manages evidence-based practices and continuous process improvement initiatives to meet quality measures and enhance patient care.
• Coordinates, evaluates, and delivers a holistic patient treatment plan with a multidisciplinary team.
