Job summary

Medical City Las Colinas is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for the night shift to provide high-quality, patient-centered care across departments in a 895+ bed tertiary care setting. You will follow nursing models and collaborate with providers to support an exceptional patient experience and outcomes.

The role requires ACLS/BCLS within 30 days, an RN licensure, an associate degree, and at least 1 year of ICU experience.

Qualifications

• ACLS must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
• BCLS must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
• RN licensed Registered Nurse credential required.
• Associate degree required.
• 1+ year of ICU experience required.

Responsibilities

• Performs procedures, monitoring, or other functions as ordered; documents care in the patient medical record in a timely and thorough manner.
• Teaches patients/families/caregivers about condition, status, plan, medications and side effects; translates complex medical terminology for understanding.
• Instructs on non-medicinal follow-up measures, such as diet and exercise; prepares patients for future self-management.
• Manages evidence-based practices and quality improvement initiatives to meet quality measures and enhance care.
• Coordinates with a multidisciplinary team to deliver a holistic treatment plan supporting recovery.
