Job summary

CHRISTUS Health is seeking a qualified RN to provide comprehensive nursing care in a clinical setting, working independently and within established protocols. The role involves medication administration, patient assessment, and ongoing education for patients and families.

The candidate should have a BSN preferred, at least 1 year of related nursing experience, and current BLS; RN license in the state of employment or a multi-state compact is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing preferred.
• 1 year of experience in the related nursing specialty preferred.
• Current BLS certification required.
• RN License in state of employment or compact.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care utilizing the nursing process: assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention and evaluation for assigned patients.
• Administer medications and treatments per protocol; monitor for side-effects and effectiveness.
• Document patient history, symptoms, medication, and care given.
• Educate patients, family members and/or care givers; identify issues and resources.
