Job summary

Saint Mary's Hospital in Waterbury, CT is seeking a Registered Nurse for the ICU to care for critically ill patients. The RN will perform assessments, develop care plans, manage hemodynamics, and adjust sedation and medications.

Ideal candidates have an Associate's degree in Nursing, CT RN license, and ICU/CCU experience; BLS/CPR is required, ACLS certification is encouraged. This full-time night-shift position offers weekend/holiday rotation and specialty pay within the RN Step Program.

Qualifications

Graduation from an accredited nursing program with an Associate's degree in Nursing is required.
Valid RN license in Connecticut.
Ideal candidates will have 1+ year ICU, Critical Care, or Step Down nursing experience.
BLS/CPR certification; ACLS certification, support available post-hire.

Responsibilities

Assume responsibility for critical care patients, conducting assessments and devising care plans.
Adjust critical drips to maintain hemodynamic stability and appropriate sedation.
Care for patients requiring advanced monitoring, invasive equipment, and complex medication regimens.
