Job summary

Mercy Health is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for the ICU at St. Elizabeth Boardman Hospital in Ohio. The role focuses on assessing, planning, and delivering intensive care to critically ill patients during night shifts.

Collaboration with the care team and adherence to state licensure and life-support requirements are essential. Ideal candidates have 1 year of RN experience, with preferences for BLS/ACLS and PALS where applicable.

Qualifications

• Current state RN license is required.
• BLS and ACLS are preferred at hire; ACLS must be obtained within 6 months.
• PALS preferred at hire; required in lieu of BLS/ACLS for Pediatric Units.
• Minimum 1 year RN experience required; 6 months RN experience in Med/Surg, Critical Care, Stepdown, or ED preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team to manage patient care.
• Assess patient status and develop/adjust care plans accordingly.
• Administer medications safely and monitor patient outcomes.
• Provide evidence-based, patient-focused care in a high-acuity ICU setting.
• Ensure a safe and therapeutic environment for critically ill patients.
