Job summary

AdventHealth in Minneola, FL is seeking a registered nurse to conduct comprehensive assessments and develop individualized care plans. You will administer medications, coordinate care, and educate patients and families on health conditions and self-care.

The role requires an ADN, RN license, and at least 1 year in an acute care hospital setting. Night shifts are available, full-time schedules and benefits apply.

Qualifications

• Associate's of Nursing is required.
• Registered Nurse (RN) license required.
• 1+ year of acute care hospital experience

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients covering physiological, psychological, developmental, sociocultural, spiritual, and lifestyle factors.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans and regularly reassess and revise them.
• Administer medications and treatments per physician orders and hospital protocols; monitor for adverse reactions.
• Educate patients and families about health conditions, treatments, medications, and self-care.
• Coordinate with medical staff and ancillary departments to optimize patient care and communication by the team.
• Maintain accurate documentation of patient information, care activities, interventions, and outcomes in the medical record.
• Evaluate care plans and interventions to improve patient health outcomes.
• Ensure infection control and safety standards are followed to maintain a safe environment.
• Provide emotional support and therapeutic communication to patients and families.

Job Description:

• Supervise and delegate care provided by members of the healthcare team to ensure quality and efficiency.

• Respond to code situations promptly and effectively, providing necessary interventions to stabilize patients.
