Job summary

Sharp HealthCare’s Intensive Care Unit is seeking a Clinical Nurse II to join the ICU team. The CN II role requires autonomous practice with advanced competencies and certifications, working with an interdisciplinary team to ensure patient safety and optimal outcomes.

The position includes 7 PM to 7:30 AM shifts, a 12/36 schedule, two weekend shifts per four weeks, and no on-call requirements. The CNA collective bargaining agreement governs compensation and terms of employment.

Qualifications

• RN with BSN or ASN with five years of high-acuity ICU experience in lieu of BSN.
• Two years ICU RN experience in a high-acuity ICU is required.
• Transitional RN Program: Two years experience in an inpatient Telemetry Unit, Progressive Care Unit or equivalent Step-down Critical Care Unit.
• California RN license required.
• AHA BLS Healthcare Provider required.
• ACLS required.
• NIH Stroke Scale certification required.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality, patient-centered ICU care and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team.
• Develop individualized care plans and document in the EMR.
• Provide education to patients and families and participate in leadership activities as needed.
