Job summary

Avita Health System is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to join the ICU Department at Avita Bucyrus Hospital. The RN will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care while ensuring continuity of care across shifts and supervising nursing assistants and staff.

The role emphasizes patient advocacy, family teaching, and alignment with the organization’s mission. Preferred candidates include ICU experience and Ohio licensure with BLS/ACLS certifications.

Qualifications

• Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of Ohio.
• Current BLS certification.
• Current ACLS certification.
• Two (2) or more years of previous nursing experience.
• Previous Intensive Care Unit experience.

Responsibilities

• Assesses, plans, implements and evaluates the nursing care of patients within the nursing unit.
• Ensures continuity of care of the patients between shifts by providing direct care as well as supervising the care given by nursing assistants, LPNs and supportive staff members.
• Participates in patient and family teaching.
• Maintains role as patient advocate with a focus on the organization’s mission.
