Job summary

City of Hope is seeking a Registered Nurse for ICU care, FT Days (7a-7p) in a major cancer center with a national footprint. The role emphasizes holistic assessment, therapeutic interventions, patient education, and strict adherence to care standards.

The candidate should hold a Georgia RN license, be BSN-capable, and have current BLS/ACLS credentials, with 1–3 years of bedside ICU experience preferred. Oncology exposure is beneficial and comfortable team collaboration is required.

Qualifications

• Georgia State RN license is required.
• BSN required or enrolled within 6 months of hire; BSN completed within three years from hire date.
• Current BLS certification required (AHA).
• Current ACLS certification required (AHA).
• 1–3 years RN bedside care experience preferred, oncology experience appreciated.
• Recent ICU or step-down experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Continuously assesses patient needs and communicates changes to the care team.
• Plans, delivers, coordinates, and evaluates therapeutic interventions.
• Educates patients and families about disease, treatment side effects, and health promotion.
• Ensures compliance with hospital policies and participates in quality improvement.
• Obtains medical history and documents orders and medications in the chart.
