Job summary

City of Hope is seeking a Registered Nurse for ICU nights to provide comprehensive care for ICU, telemetry, and medical-surgical patients. You will assess needs, collaborate with physicians, and deliver education to patients and families.

The role requires 1 year ICU/inpatient experience, an ADN or equivalent, an Arizona RN license (or compact-state license), and BLS/ACLS. A $15,000 sign-on bonus is offered. Night shifts run 7:00 pm–7:30 am with 18% shift differential.

Qualifications

1 year ICU/Inpatient experience required.
Arizona RN license or compact-state license.
BLS certification required on hire; ACLS certification required within 30 days of hire.
ONS Fundamentals of Chemotherapy Immunotherapy Administration Card within 6 months.

Responsibilities

Collaborates with physicians to evaluate patient readiness for changes in level of care.
Assess, treat, educate patients; care for ICU, medical-surgical, and telemetry patients as needed.
Perform risk assessment and prevention of pressure injuries.
Interpret and respond to cardiac and other monitors; intervene as needed.
Care for patients with complex needs including hemodynamically unstable and ventilated patients.
Manage IV therapies, central lines, arterial lines, and related devices.
Monitor and care for patients with ostomies, PCA, epidural catheters.
Demonstrate knowledge of chemotherapeutic/immunotherapeutic agents.
