Job summary

BayCare Health System is seeking experienced ICU nurses to join our regional float pool, providing in-person care at facilities across the Tampa Bay area. You will care for ICU patients, monitor vitals, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team in a fast-paced hospital setting.

The role requires an RN license, an associate degree or higher in nursing, and a minimum of two years of ICU experience in acute care, with BLS and ACLS certifications. Full-time, non-exempt, in-person shifts.

Qualifications

• RN license required
• Associates or higher in Nursing
• 2+ years ICU experience in acute care
• BLS certification American Heart Association or Red Cross
• ACLS certification American Heart Association

Responsibilities

• Works in a hospital setting and independently cares for a group of ICU patients using the nursing process and clinical standards.
• Delegates appropriate patient care activities to other members of the health care team
• Care for patients throughout their recovery in critical care.
• Monitor, record, and update care team on patient vitals and assessments
• Identify sudden or subtle changes in a patient’s medical condition
• Respond to medical emergencies for critical patients
• Coordinate and document discharge planning and referrals to ensure continuity of care after discharge
• Maintain high emotional intelligence to create a positive patient care experience
