Job summary

Nazareth Hospital, part of Trinity Health, is seeking a Registered Nurse for the ICU on a 12-hour night shift (7:00 pm – 7:30 am) at Nazareth Hospital in Philadelphia, PA. The RN will be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating patient care, and for delegating tasks within the healthcare team.

The role requires a BSN or BS/BA in nursing, current PA RN license, and BLS; ACLS is preferred or obtained during orientation.

Qualifications

• BSN or BS/BA degree in Nursing required.
• Current RN Pennsylvania state license required.
• Current BLS required. ACLS required or obtained by orientation.

Responsibilities

• Provides total, comprehensive care to patients by applying the nursing process.
• Communicates plan of care and changes in patient condition to the healthcare team.
• Completes admission assessments and reassessments per policy.
• Documents assessments, plans and interventions in the patient record.
• Participates in discharge planning and multidisciplinary rounds.
• Assists patient/family with grieving process and end-of-life care as appropriate.
