Job summary

Trinity Health Mid-Atlantic is seeking a Registered Nurse for Nazareth Hospital in Philadelphia, PA. The role covers ICU patients on a 12-hour night shift (7:00 pm - 7:30 am) on a per diem, part-time basis.

The RN will assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care, and delegate tasks to the healthcare team. The position requires a BSN or BS/BA in Nursing, PA RN license, BLS (ACLS if applicable), and values acute care experience.

Qualifications

• BSN or BS/BA in Nursing is required.
• Current RN Pennsylvania state license is required.
• BLS certification is required; ACLS is required or obtained on orientation.
• Previous acute care experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides total, comprehensive care to patients by applying the nursing process in an organized and systemic manner according to hospital policy.
• Communicates proactively to the health care team, plan of care, changes in patient condition, patient progress and discharge plans.
• Completes admissions according to policy using a multi-system approach for assessment and reassessment.
• Documents assessment/reassessment, plan, interventions and outcomes according to policy and interprets clinical data in the plan of care.
• Performs accurate and thorough nursing physical assessments and documents thoroughly.
• Reassesses patient condition per policy and interprets & utilizes clinical data in the plan of care.
• Assesses patient for potential risk factors and individualizes care.
• Includes pain management and supportive care issues in plan of care.
• Participates in discharge planning and multidisciplinary rounds.

Education
