Qualifications

• BLS certification is required; ACLS and/or PALS and/or NRP may be required by policy.

Responsibilities

• Provides high-quality, safe, cost-effective nursing care to all patients.
• Assesses, plans, and implements direct clinical care per shift.
• Supervises staff to ensure appropriate care and resource use.
• Coordinates patient care within the nursing process to achieve optimal outcomes.
• Administers medications safely per hospital policy.
• Follows hospital incident command system responsibilities during emergencies.
