Job summary

UMass Memorial Health in Southbridge, MA is seeking a Registered Nurse for the ICU. This full-time, day-shift position totals 36 hours per week with a 6:45 AM–7:15 PM schedule and 12-hour shifts. The role focuses on delivering direct patient care using the nursing process and maintaining high standards of practice.

You will assess patients, develop care plans, administer medications, collaborate with the care team, and participate in quality initiatives to enhance patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• Current Massachusetts licensure and registration.
• Completion of an accredited school of nursing program.
• BLS is a requirement for every RN unless ACLS certification is current.

Responsibilities

• Uses the Nursing Process for patient care from admission to discharge.
• Performs patient assessment/reassessment per standard procedure.
• Develops and coordinates plan of care including discharge planning.
• Directs, supervises, coordinates and evaluates nursing care.
• Documents patient care according to procedure.
• Participates in education for patient/family and staff.
• Ensures quality and continuity of care through collaboration.
• Administers medications and therapies as required.
• Supports Nursing Governance activities.
• Contributes to performance improvement initiatives.
