The role involves direct nursing care in a 28-bed ICU, with day/night rotation and scheduled shifts. Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing (Diploma/ADN/BSN).
• Current state RN licensure in the respective state.
• One year of acute care RN experience in a hospital setting.
• Military RN experience will be considered.
• BLS Certification through AHA or Red Cross.
• ACLS certification required upon hire or within one year of employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care.
• Implement and monitor patient care plans.
• Monitor, record and communicate patients’ conditions.
• Evaluate, update and revise plans of care to achieve outcomes.
• Note and carry out physician and nursing orders.
• Assess and coordinate patients’ discharge needs.
• Educate patients and families with educational materials, considering cultural issues.
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments per nursing protocol.
