Job summary

Keck Hospital of USC seeks a Registered Nurse to provide comprehensive patient care within an interdisciplinary team. The RN applies the nursing process, coordinates care, and educates patients and families in a compassionate setting.

Responsibilities include assessment, planning, intervention, and documentation following hospital policies. Must have CA RN license, ACLS/BLS, and 1 year of acute inpatient experience. Excellent communication skills required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing required.
• 1 year acute inpatient hospital experience as RN in United States.
• CA RN license required.
• ACLS and BLS required for designated units/departments.

Responsibilities

• Follows policies and procedures; demonstrates ability to access online manuals.
• Transfers learned scientific knowledge into practical application in applying the Nursing Process.
• ASSESSMENT Appropriately completes Nursing Assessment upon patient admission, at each shift and with change of condition.
• DIAGNOSIS Interprets assessment information and formulates Nursing Diagnoses.
• PLAN Develops Plans of Care with individualized interventions; documents outcomes and revises plans daily.
• INTERVENTION Administers medication and IV therapy; delegates tasks per scope of practice; ensures MD orders and monitoring.
