Job summary

Keck Hospital of USC seeks a Registered Nurse to provide therapeutic care using the nursing process and coordinate patient care and education for patients and families in a compassionate environment.

The RN will assess patients on admission and during shifts, develop individualized care plans, administer medications and IV therapy, document thoroughly, and collaborate with case management for discharge planning. ACLS/BLS as required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing or equivalent.
• Current CA RN license and BLS/ACLS as required.
• Strong communication and critical thinking skills.

Responsibilities

• Follows policies and procedures and uses Nursing Process.
• Assessments at admission, each shift, and change of condition.
• Develops and updates Plans of Care with expected outcomes.
• Delivers medications and IV therapy per policy and supervises care.
• Documents accurately on flow sheets, MAR, and care plans.
• Provides patient/family education and discharge planning.
