Job summary

Universal Health Services, Doctors Hospital of Laredo in Laredo, TX, seeks an experienced RN to provide safe, competent nursing care according to hospital policies and philosophy. The role includes leading the healthcare team and upholding Service Excellence standards in a 183-bed acute care setting.

Qualifications include an accredited RN program, active state license, BLS, and ACLS/PALS as required. Orientation may include additional credentials; pre-employment assessments are required.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited or NLN-approved RN program.
• BLS (or obtained during orientation).
• Current state nursing license.
• Prefer one year full time or three years part time experience in acute care settings.
• ACLS, PALS, (or obtained within six months) in required specialty.
• Handle with Care (or obtained within six months) in required specialty.
• Must successfully pass any pre-employment assessment(s).

Responsibilities

• Provides safe, competent nursing care for patients in accordance with facility policies, standards, and philosophy.
• Provides professional leadership and support to the healthcare team.
• Demonstrates Service Excellence standards at all times.
