AdventHealth in Florida (Dade City) is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for a PRN/Full-time role in a critical care-focused unit. You will assess patients, develop care plans, administer meds, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure high-quality care.

The position requires Florida RN licensure, strong clinical skills, and the ability to document accurately in Cerner/EPIC EMR systems. Commitment to patient safety and continuous improvement is essential.

Qualifications

• RN with active license in Florida
• Experience in critical care or acute care settings preferred
• Ability to document accurately in EMR and follow protocols

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments to gather data on health status and needs.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans based on assessment findings and medical diagnoses.
• Administer medications and treatments accurately as prescribed, ensuring patient safety and adherence to protocols.
• Monitor and evaluate patient responses to interventions, adjusting care plans as necessary to achieve optimal outcomes.
• Provide education and counseling to patients and their families about health conditions, treatment plans, medications, and self-care strategies.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive and coordinated patient care.
• Document patient care activities, including assessments, care plans, interventions, and outcomes, accurately and timely in the electronic medical record (EMR).
• Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, accreditation standards, and organizational policies.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and outcomes.
• Supervise and mentor nursing staff, providing guidance and support to ensure high-quality care.
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment by adhering to infection control policies and safety protocols.
• Respond promptly to life-threatening situations using established protocols and critical care skills.
