Job summary

AdventHealth in Florida is seeking a registered nurse to join our team in Dade City on the night shift. You will perform comprehensive patient assessments, develop care plans, administer medications, monitor responses, educate patients and families, and document in the EMR.

Requirements include RN license, ACLS, NIHSS, and BLS. Associate degree required; BSN preferred. Cerner or EPIC EMR experience is valued. Strong communication, teamwork, and clinical leadership are essential.

Qualifications

• RN with required licenses and key certifications (ACLS, NIHSS, BLS).
• Ability to communicate effectively in English, verbally and in writing.
• Strong critical thinking, problem-solving and teamwork.
• Experience with Cerner or EPIC EMR is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and gather data on health status.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans based on findings.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, ensuring safety.
• Monitor and evaluate patient responses, adjusting plans as needed.
• Educate patients and families about conditions and self-care.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to coordinate care.
• Document care activities in the EMR accurately and timely.
• Ensure compliance with regulations and organizational policies.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance care.
• Supervise and mentor nursing staff to ensure high-quality care.
