Job summary

Allegheny Health Network is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for the Intensive Care Unit. The RN will provide direct patient care in a busy 20-bed ICU, lead care teams, and ensure safety and high-quality outcomes in a Magnet-designated environment.

Responsibilities include coordinating care across disciplines, mentoring staff, and using the nursing process to assess and update care plans; adherence to HIPAA and hospital policies is required. PA RN licensure or eNLC eligible is required.

Qualifications

• Current State of PA RN licensure OR current multi-state licensure through the enhanced Nurse Licensure Compact (eNLC).
• Preferred: Certification in area of specialty.

Responsibilities

• Provides leadership in a professional practice setting and acts as a team player.
• Delivers direct patient care in the ICU and coordinates with interdisciplinary teams.
• Monitors patient condition, plans care, and documents according to policy and physician orders.
• Mentors peers and supports continuous improvement and patient safety initiatives.
