Job summary

Ottumwa Regional Health Center in Ottumwa, IA is seeking a skilled ICU RN to join our team. The Registered Nurse will care for critically ill patients in the Intensive Care Unit, collaborating with clinicians to ensure safe, high-quality treatment.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Registered Nursing program.
• Current, unencumbered Iowa RN license or Compact State licensure.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
• Dysrhythmia course completed within 6 months of hire or pass written dysrhythmia competency within 90 days.
• Recent RN experience in acute care setting.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct and comprehensive nursing care to ICU patients.
• Monitor vital signs, manage ventilators, administer medications, and respond to emergencies.
• Perform procedures and interventions within scope of practice as defined by the Iowa State Board of Nursing.
• Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes.
• Document all patient care accurately and timely in accordance with hospital policies.
• Maintain compliance with infection control, safety, and regulatory guidelines.

Education
