Job summary

The Cottano Group in Mamou, LA is seeking an ICU RN for a Night shift travel assignment. This full-time position covers Nights with 36 hours per week and a contract length of 8 weeks. Requires 2+ years ICU experience, travel experience, and certifications including BLS, NIH, ACLS.

Weekend work every other weekend; on-call not required. Responsibilities include hourly rounding, bedside hand-off reporting, and completing the My Care Board during hand-offs.

• Required Cert: BLS, NIH, & ACLS
• Patient Experience requirements: Hourly rounding, bedside hand-off reporting, completion of “My Care Board” during hand-off report; use of AIDET with a focus on compassionate connected care.
• Advanced skills needed: Ventilator management, critical care drip knowledge, thorough and accurate assessment skills, and proficient knowledge with cardiac, neuro, and respiratory systems.

Unit Specifics

• Unit staffing description: RNs and Unit secretary. Total care is provided by RNs.
• Type of equipment: Ventilators, Alaris IV pumps, Balloon pumps, ventriculostomy drains, glucometers. Use of iMobile phones and technology by all staff in the hospital. PPE- includes masks, face shields, goggles, gloves, PAPR’s and hoods for any suspected COVID-19 patient.
• Floating policy: Nursing staff will float to other Medical-Surgical Units in the hospital as needed with priority focus on pulling to Intensive Care Units.
