Job summary

Qualifications

• Associates or Bachelor's degree in Respiratory Therapy (preferred).
• Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP, NBRC-RRT or RCP.
• 0-2 years of clinical experience, with at least 6 months in critical care.
• Excellent communication, critical thinking, and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in computer and database use.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients and verify orders for therapy
• Administer aerosolized medications, oxygen, and medical gases
• Manage ventilators, including weaning and waveform interpretation
• Perform airway management procedures and arterial blood sampling
• Educate patients and support staff development
• Ensure high standards of safety, documentation, and compliance with policies
• Participate in quality improvement and evidence-based practices
