Job summary

HCA Florida UCF Lake Nona Hospital in Orlando, FL is hiring a Registered Nurse for the ICU who coordinates high-quality, patient-centered care in collaboration with physicians and the care team.

The RN will mentor patients and families, document care, and participate in ongoing quality improvement; Florida license, BCLS, ACLS, PALS and NIH Stroke scales required or anticipated within set timelines.

Qualifications

• Florida RN license required, compact holders have 60 days to obtain Florida license after relocation.
• 1+ year RN experience in acute care; CVICU a plus.
• RN Diploma or Associate Degree; BSN preferred.
• NIH Stroke Scale within 30 days of employment start.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support within 30 days of start.
• ACLS Provider within 6 months of start date.
• PALS within 6 months of start date.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates and delivers high quality, patient-centered care.
• Documents the administration of care in the patient medical record.
• Teaches patients and families about condition, treatment plan and follow-up measures.
• Translates medical terminology for patient understanding.
• Collaborates with multidisciplinary team to optimize care plans.
• Supports quality initiatives and patient outcomes through evidence-based practices.

Skills
