Job summary

CHS Career Site seeks a Registered Nurse to provide patient-centered care using the nursing process, coordinating with physicians and the health team to achieve optimal outcomes. Essential functions include assessments, medication administration, procedures support, care plan development, and emergency response.

Qualifications

• 0-2 years of clinical nursing experience or student rotations in an acute care setting.
• RN license (state licensure and/or compact licensure) required.
• BLS required; ACLS, PALS, NRP preferred.
• Strong knowledge of nursing processes, patient safety and infection control.
• Ability to document, communicate, and collaborate with care teams.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and deliver patient-centered care per nursing process and policies.
• Perform thorough patient assessments and document findings.
• Administer medications and monitor for side effects.
• Support physicians during procedures within competency.
• Develop and evaluate individualized care plans with the team.
• Respond to emergencies and participate in CPR/Code team activities.
• Educate patients and families on conditions and post-discharge care.
• Maintain infection control standards and safe care environments.
• Document care promptly and keep records up to date.
• Engage in ongoing professional development and quality improvement.
