Job summary

Central Maine Medical Center is seeking an experienced ICU Registered Nurse to deliver high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment.

The role includes direct patient care in the ICU, collaboration with physicians, teaching patients and families, and adherence to privacy standards. A sign-on bonus is available for qualified candidates, with a fast-hiring process to expedite employment.

Qualifications

• Current and valid state RN License.
• Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current.
• Completion of Critical Care Course preferred.
• Basic Arrhythmia Interpretation within 30 days of hire.
• Current ACLS certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current.
• Critical Care RN (CCRN) Certification preferred.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.

Responsibilities

• The Registered Nurse delivers safe patient care using the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation.
• Provides direct patient care within the scope of practice in the ICU.
• Directs and guides patient/family teaching and activities of other nursing personnel.
• Communicates with the physician about changes in the patient’s clinical condition, including hemodynamic monitoring, test results and clinical status.
• Remains attentive to patient privacy and confidentiality.

Education

Current and valid state RN License.

Current BLS certificate

Completion of Critical Care Course

Basic Arrhythmia Interpretation

Current ACLS certificate

CCRN Certification

BSN (BSN preferred)
