Job summary

BridgePoint Continuing Care Hospital -National Harborside in Washington, DC is seeking an ICU Registered Nurse (RN) for part-time day shifts. The role offers competitive hourly pay with shift differentials and a $12,000 sign-on bonus (limited time).

Responsibilities include planning and delivering direct and indirect critical care, coordinating with families and the care team, and participating in discharge planning. BLS and ACLS required; ACLS within 90 days of hire.

Qualifications

• Education: BSN, ADN, or Nursing Diploma from an accredited program.
• Licenses: Current RN license; BLS and ACLS required (ACLS within 90 days).
• Experience: ICU experience in acute care preferred.

• Plan and deliver direct and indirect critical patient care using the nursing process.
• Develop and adjust care plans with patients, families, and interdisciplinary staff.

What You’ll Be Doing:

Our ICU Registered Nurse RN provide planning and delivery of direct and indirect critical patient care through the nursing process of Assessment, Planning, Intervention, and Evaluation. The ICU Registered Nurse RN develops nursing care plans in coordination with patients, family and interdisciplinary staff as necessary. The ICU Registered Nurse RN communicates changes in patient’s clinical condition with Physicians, Nursing Supervisor/Manager, and co-workers as appropriate. The ICU Registered Nurse RN participates in discharge planning process.

Requirements:

• Education: Graduation from an accredited Bachelor of Science in Nursing, Associate Degree in Nursing or Nursing Diploma program.
• Licenses/Certification: Current state licensure as Registered Nurse. BLS & ACLS required. ACLS must be obtained within 90 days of date of hire.
• Experience: Minimum of six months’ ICU experience in an acute care setting preferred.
• Safety Sensitive-Designated Position
