Job summary

Prairie Ridge Health in Wisconsin is seeking an Intensive Care Registered Nurse (RN) to join the ICUD department in a PRN role. The RN provides leadership to the patient care team and delivers critical care nursing to adults and the elderly with comprehensive assessments and individualized care plans.

The position requires a Wisconsin RN license, CPR/ACLS certifications, and 1–2 years of Med/Surg or equivalent experience. CCRN is preferred. Shifts are PM/Nights; PRN indicates as-needed coverage.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Valid nursing license as recognized by Wisconsin.
• Current CPR or obtain within 90 days of hire.
• Current ACLS or obtain within 6 months of hire.
• A minimum of one-two years of experience on a Medical/Surgical unit or equivalent is preferred.
• CCR N preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and direction to the patient care team.
• Deliver nursing care for adults and elderly through assessments and care planning.
• Develop individualized plan of care and manage direct patient care for critically ill patients.
• Educate patients' families and other health care team members.
• May be required to work on other units according to staffing and competency.
