Job summary

Central Maine Medical Center in Lewiston, ME, is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for the Intensive Care Unit. This full-time, night shift role offers a sign-on bonus of up to $20,000.

The RN will deliver safe patient care using the nursing process, monitor hemodynamics, and collaborate with physicians and nursing staff to achieve optimal outcomes. A valid Maine RN license, BLS, ACLS, and critical care experience are essential, with BSN preferred.

Qualifications

• Current and valid state RN license.
• Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current.
• Completion of Critical Care Course preferred.
• Basic Arrhythmia Interpretation within 30 days of hire.
• Current ACLS certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current.
• Minimum of one year as a staff RN in acute care hospital, critical care preferred.
• Critical Care RN (CCRN) Certification preferred.
• BSN preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe patient care using the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation) in the ICU.
• Provide direct patient care within the scope of practice and coordinate with the care team.
• Direct and guide patient/family teaching and activities of other nursing personnel.
• Communicate with physicians about changes in patient condition, hemodynamics, and diagnostics.
• Maintain patient privacy and confidentiality.
