Job summary

Central Maine Medical Center in Lewiston, ME is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Intensive Care Unit. This full-time night shift position offers a competitive package and a up to $20,000 sign-on bonus for qualified candidates.

The RN will provide safe patient care, utilize the nursing process, and collaborate with physicians on changes in patient condition, with emphasis on privacy, education, and teamwork in a high-acuity ICU setting.

Qualifications

• Current and valid state RN License.
• BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current.
• Completion of Critical Care Course preferred.
• Basic Arrhythmia Interpretation within 30 days of hire.
• Current ACLS certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current.
• Minimum of one year as a staff RN in acute care hospital, critical care preferred.
• Critical Care RN (CCRN) Certification preferred.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Delivery of safe patient care using the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation.
• Direct patient care within the scope of practice and guide patient/family teaching.
• Communicate with the physician about changes in the patient’s clinical condition.
• Respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition and/or response to treatment.
• Maintain patient privacy and confidentiality.
