Job summary

AdventHealth in New Smyrna Beach, Florida is seeking a Registered Nurse for PRN night shifts to join its inpatient team. You will conduct comprehensive patient assessments, develop care plans, administer medications, monitor responses, and document in the EMR while adhering to safety and regulatory standards.

The role requires RN licensure, BLS, and strong critical thinking, teamwork, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments to gather data on health status and needs.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans based on assessment findings and medical diagnoses.
• Administer medications and treatments accurately as prescribed, ensuring patient safety.
• Monitor and evaluate patient responses to interventions and adjust care plans as needed.
• Provide education and counseling to patients and families about health conditions and treatments.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated patient care.
• Document patient care activities in the EMR accurately and timely.
• Ensure compliance with regulations, accreditation standards, and policies.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care.
• Supervise and mentor nursing staff to ensure high-quality care.
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment following infection control policies.
• Respond promptly to life-threatening situations using protocols.
