Job summary

Qualifications

• Must be a graduate from an accredited school of Nursing.
• Must have an active California RN license.
• BLS/CPR and ACLS certifications at time of hire with commitment to get ART within six (6) months of hire date.
• Minimum three (3) years of recent acute care RN experience in adult ICU.
• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills to manage multiple levels of information and responsibilities and to quickly assess moderately complex problems to develop potential solutions.
• Must possess excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with staff, physicians, and patients verbally and in writing.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively and cooperatively with team members. Demonstrates a willingness to adapt and embrace new approaches to support team objectives.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct care to critical care patients using the nursing process in the clinic setting.
• Develops and provides treatment plans as requested.
• Promotes self-care through education.
• Organizes and maintains clinic equipment and supplies.
• The 13-bed mixed Medical ICU/Coronary Contained Unit specializes in Pre-Cardiac Transplants, Congestive Heart Failure, Acute MI, CRRT, neurological patients and complex ventilation.
• The unit is actively involved in promoting community health.
