Job summary

Las Palmas Medical Center in El Paso, TX, is seeking a Registered Nurse for the ICU to assess patients, develop and implement plans of care, and supervise care delegated to non-licensed staff. You will monitor patient status and contribute to care decisions in a collaborative team.

The role requires 1 year RN experience; 2+ years in Med-Surg, Telemetry, or CCU are preferred. Texas RN license with BLS and ACLS is required; CCRN is preferred.

Qualifications

• 1 year of experience as a Registered Nurse (RN).
• 2+ years of experience in Medical Surgical, Telemetry or critical care – preferred.
• Current State of Texas RN license or Compact RN license (within 90 days).
• BLS required. ACLS certification required. CCRN preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform and document patient assessments at admission.
• Assess and monitor changes in patient status.
• Utilize professional skills in delivering and/or delegating care.
• Assist with unit employee processes, including orientation and development.
• Perform other duties within scope of licensure.
