Job summary
Northwestern Medicine is hiring a Registered Nurse for the ICU on a full-time days weekend program. The role involves providing expert nursing care to acutely ill patients, coordinating with the care team, and ensuring outcomes are met using evidence-based practice.
Responsibilities include developing care plans, documenting progress, and collaborating with families and physicians. Eligible candidates hold an IL RN license, BSN, BLS, ACLS, PALS/ENPC or TNCC as applicable.
Qualifications
- BSN and IL RN licensure required.
- BLS certification required.
Responsibilities
- Administers nursing care to acutely ill patients using the nursing process.
- Interacts with patients and health team members adhering to ANA standards.
- Develops and implements individualized care plans and evaluates outcomes.
- Directs care with appropriate use of any assistants.
- Collaborates with patient, family, physicians and staff to communicate and plan care.
- Participates in governance, committees and unit projects.
- Documents patient responses and utilizes evidence to guide practice.
