Job summary

Independence Health System is seeking a Registered Nurse to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care for a designated patient group. The RN will coordinate with an interdisciplinary healthcare team to promote positive patient outcomes and maintain efficient unit operation.

Essential duties include leadership, adherence to standards, infection control, documentation, and ongoing professional development. Travel between Independence Health locations may be required; this is a direct care role

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Nursing Program.
• Strong leadership ability, good organizational skills, independent and critical thinking.
• Strong ability to communicate complex topics to diverse audiences.
• Nursing refresher course may be required if not in acute care for 3 years.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate care for a designated patient group.
• Coordinate and participate as a team member to promote positive patient outcomes.
• Attend education workshops and review professional publications to maintain knowledge.
• Document patient care in charted records and maintain confidentiality.
