Job summary

U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs is seeking an ICU Registered Nurse to provide direct care to critically ill patients and lead coordination with the care team. The nurse will administer medications, implement care plans, and participate in ongoing education and quality improvement initiatives.

Ideal candidates will have an accredited nursing degree, active RN licensure, and the ability to work in a demanding ICU setting with strong clinical judgment and teamwork skills.

Qualifications

• English language proficiency required for direct patient care.
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ACEN/CCNE).
• Current RN license in appropriate state with eligibility for licensure.
• Ability to obtain state license and work in ICU environment.

Responsibilities

• Administers medications and procedures per established policies.
• Coordinate care across interdisciplinary team for ICU patients.
• Provide direct care to acutely/critically ill patients with high risk.
• Lead nursing education, orientation, and competency activities.
• Demonstrate evidence-based practice and ensure patient safety.
