Rapides Regional Medical Center is seeking an RN for the Medical ICU on a full-time basis. The role includes day shift responsibilities with rotating weekends, delivering high-quality, patient-centered care in collaboration with the care team.

The ideal candidate is a licensed RN with 1 year of experience, ACLS/BLS within 30 days, and a strong commitment to safety and compassionate care. We offer comprehensive benefits and a supportive nursing team.

Qualifications

• RN with active license preferred.
• Minimum 1 year RN experience required.
• ACLS and BLS certifications must be obtained within 30 days of start date.
• RN Diploma/ADN/BSN required.

Responsibilities

• Performs procedures and monitors patients as ordered by physicians.
• Educates patients and families about condition, status, treatment, medications and follow-up.
• Promotes healthy lifestyle and self-management post-discharge.
• Participates in quality improvement and evidence-based practice initiatives.
• Coordinates care with multidisciplinary team to support recovery.
