Job summary

PVH Potomac Valley Hospital in West Virginia is seeking an experienced professional registered nurse to provide comprehensive inpatient care, using the nursing process, with accountability for care delivery and independent nursing judgment.

The RN will modify plans based on data, apply evidence-based practice, educate patients and families, and collaborate with interprofessional teams to ensure safe, high-quality outcomes in a busy hospital setting.

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse license issued by the state where services will be provided or multi-state license through eNLC.
• Obtain certification in Basic Life Support within 30 days of hire date.
• One year of nursing experience.

Responsibilities

• Modifies patient’s plan of care based on data collection and patient’s individual needs.
• Uses Evidence-Based Practice to provide patient care.
• Delegates according to scope of practice.
• Verifies the plan of care with interprofessional colleagues, patient, and caregiver(s).
• Provides education based on learning needs and involvement of family.
• Promotes effective communication among interprofessional team members & healthcare consumers.
