Job summary

WVUH West Virginia University Hospitals is seeking an RN to deliver inpatient nursing care, applying the nursing process with novice-to-competent judgment and independent assessment of patient needs across the lifespan. You will document, plan, and evaluate care, provide patient education, and collaborate with an interprofessional team to maintain safety and quality outcomes.

This position requires an active RN license, BLS within 30 days, and a BSN preferred; shift is day, 36 hours weekly,

Qualifications

• Current RN license in the state where services will be provided or a multi-state license through eNLC.
• BLS certification must be obtained within 30 days of hire.
• Less than 12 months of RN experience.
• BSN preferred.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates safety and continuity of care using documentation and handoff tools.
• Creates and evaluates plans of care using the nursing process.
• Assesses patient safety concerns and provides education based on learning needs.
• Delivers patient-centered care and collaborates with the interprofessional team.
• Documents problems and tracks outcomes in the plan of care.
• Engages in lifelong learning and ethical nursing practice.
