Qualifications

• Associate of Nursing required upon hire.
• One (1) year of RN experience upon hire.
• Registered Nurse: TX, upon hire.
• Basic Life Support - CPR, within 14 days.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support, within 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient condition on admission and ongoing, provide nursing care meeting physical, psychological, and spiritual needs.
• Design, direct, evaluate and document plan of care and patient education with the care team.
• Prepare patients for treatments and procedures and report significant changes to physicians or charge staff.
• Provide bedside shift reports, ensure continuity of care, and communicate with the oncoming shift.
• Maintain patient safety, document charges and supplies accurately, and participate in quality improvement efforts.
• Maintain licensure, complete required competencies, and assist with orientation of staff as needed.
• Support patient experience with compassionate, attentive care and timely escalation when needed.
