Sentara Healthcare Inc. is seeking a Patient Transporter to support the night shift in the Intensive Care Unit at Sentara Virginia Beach General Hospital. This full-time role runs 11pm–7am, five nights per week, and emphasizes safe patient movement and clear communication with the care team.

Ideal candidates will have a High School Diploma and a current BLS certification, with patient care experience preferred. This position is based in the ICU and contributes to safe, efficient patient flow.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• BLS Certification is required.
• Patient care experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Transport patients to and from testing and transfers within units.
• Assist night shift staff with patient movement in the ICU.
• Communicate clearly with staff, visitors, and patients; follow safety rules.
