Overview

Sentara is currently hiring a Patient Transporter to work at Sentara Virginia Beach General Hospital, located in Virginia Beach, in the Intensive Care Unit.

Hours/Shift

Full-time, night shift, 11pm to 7am, five nights per week.

Department/Position Overview

This position will be for assisting the night shift staff in transporting patients to and from testing and assisting with transfers within the units. This position will be based in the Intensive Care Unit.

Responsibilities

Safely escorts and transports patients within all areas of the hospital using safe body mechanics. Strictly adheres to all safety rules and initiatives of Sentara. Communicates clearly with all staff, visitors, and patients. Ensures adequate communication of information between central transport and other departments.

Education

High School Diploma or Equivalent

Certification/Licensure

American Health Associate BLS Certification required

Experience

Patient care experience preferred.

Compensation

We provide market-competitive compensation packages, inclusive of base pay, incentives, and benefits. The base pay range for full-time employment is $17.54 - $25.58 hourly.
