Job summary

Northside Hospital in the Atlanta area is seeking a Patient Care Technician to provide nursing assistance and patient care, supporting comfort, safety and personal needs of patients. The role works within a unit-based, self-directed team while sharing tasks with licensed and non-licensed staff.

The position requires BLS, CNA GA Registry or CMA/RMA/NHA certification, and at least one year of direct patient care experience (CNA, PCT, ED tech or equivalents).

Qualifications

• Must hold American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS).
• Certified Nursing Assistant on the Georgia Registry (CNA GA Registry).
• Or Certified Medical Assistant awarded by the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA) / Registered Medical Assistant awarded by the American Medical Technologists (AMT) / Certified Clinical Medical Assistant awarded by the National Healthcareer Association (NHA).
• One year of patient care experience, as a CNA, PCT, Military Medic, ED Tech or other relevant acute, direct patient care experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing assistance and patient care to support the comfort, safety and personal needs of patients.
• Assist patients with activities of daily living and perform procedures for physical hygiene and comfort.
• Work within a unit-based, self-directed patient care team while sharing tasks with licensed and non-licensed staff.
