Job summary

NYU Langone Hospital—Long Island is seeking a Patient Care Technician for the Medical ICU on a part-time night schedule. The role supports nurses by performing patient care tasks, maintaining a safe and clean environment, and ensuring patient privacy and dignity.

The position requires a PCT or CNA background with basic life support and familiarity with infection control. Candidates will assist with admissions, discharges, and data collection for quality programs.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent.
• Graduate of a PCT program with at least 6 months hospital experience or CNA with EKG & Phlebotomy training.
• BLS Heartsaver CPR/AED certification required on entry to the position.

Responsibilities

• Assist the nurse in patient care tasks and provide safe, compassionate care.
• Maintain unit supplies, equipment, and environment for safety.
• Contribute to Quality & Performance Improvement data collection and monitors patient satisfaction.
