Job summary

The Patient Care Technician (PCT) reports to the Nurse Manager. Under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse, the PCT performs multi-skilled activities to support a decentralized patient-centered approach to patient care and achieve desired outcomes. Hours per week: 36.

Scheduled Work Hours: three 12-hour rotating shifts per week, including weekends and holidays. The position is hourly with BLS certification required and equal opportunity employment.

Qualifications

• Patient Care Technician I requires a High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Patient Care Technician II requires High School diploma/GED and ONE of: an Associate or Bachelor's degree; 1 year PCT experience; 1 year healthcare facility experience; enrollment in nursing or healthcare field; CNA/CMA certification.

Responsibilities

• Assist with decentralized, patient-centered care under RN supervision.
• Perform multi-skilled activities to support patient outcomes.
• Maintain safety and comply with BLS requirements.
