Job summary

Piedmont Fayette Hospital is hiring a Patient Care Tech to join our fast-paced clinical team. This part-time day shift role supports licensed staff and provides essential direct patient care across the lifespan, from bathing to daily living activities.

The successful candidate will have a high school diploma or equivalent, BLS certification, and relevant hospital care experience. A sign-on bonus of $1,250 is offered to eligible applicants.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous experience caring for patients in a hospital setting.
• BLS certification from AHA or the American Red Cross required.
• Nursing Assistant or Patient Care Technician certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• The Patient Care Tech, under the supervision of licensed clinical staff, provides care to patients from birth through the lifecycle, demonstrating competency with treatments, procedures and equipment appropriate to the clinical setting and hospital policy.
• Collaborate with licensed nursing staff to provide direct care to a diverse patient population.
• Provide key aspects of patient care including helping patients with bathing, feeding and other activities of daily living.

Education

Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
